What is ColorStacking?

ColorStacking is a multi-color 3D printing technique that stacks colored filament layers at precise heights to create deep-relief, tattoo-inspired art — no paint or post-processing required. It was created by Unicorn Graveyard and is the signature technique behind most of the collection.

Are Unicorn Graveyard models free?

Yes — all models published on MakerWorld are free for personal use. Patreon members get access to exclusive models that never appear on MakerWorld, plus commercial printing rights at the Sanctioned Bonesmith tier and above.

What 3D printer do I need for ColorStacking?

Any FDM printer with multi-color capability works. Models are optimized for Bambu Lab printers with AMS (X1C, P1S, A1) but are compatible with Prusa MMU, Palette systems, and manual filament swapping. Standard 0.4mm nozzle and PLA filament are recommended.

What is the difference between free and Patreon models?

Free models on MakerWorld are available to anyone for personal use. Patreon members unlock exclusive designs that never appear publicly, full vault access to all past exclusives, and commercial licensing rights to sell physical prints.

Can I customize the colors on these models?

Yes — every model ships with a suggested color setup using the paint tool in Bambu Studio, but you can easily erase and repaint to create your own color combinations. The paint tool approach was specifically chosen to make customization simple.
